Air Traffic on rise for 2010

According to Giovanni Bisignani CEO of the IATA, as we enter the end of this year, international air traffic is rising in all part of the world. It is now 5% more than before the crisis in 2008.

On the first 10 months of 2010, international passenger figures showed a rise of +8.5 %. Airlines are now registering profits as despite the uncertainty of the economy, worldwide population continue to fly.

International Passenger figures* in Jan-Oct 2010 vs Jan-Oct 2009:

Africa + 13.1%
Asia Pacific +10.1%
Europe +5.0%
Latin America +9.9%
Middle East +18.6%
North America +7.2%
