China Eastern offers two main advertising options in its in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. On aircraft without AVOD (Audio Video On Demand), commercials are shown between short programs (around 1.5 hours in total), comprising a mix of drama, variety or talent shows, broadcast automatically. Each commercial is broadcast at least once per trip. On AVOD-equipped aircraft, each seat has a personal screen on which the commercials appear before the start of the film or program.
